Ubuntu Start up Site!

Hi,

I have worked with ubuntu servers for the past 4 years as my hobby.

I enjoy setting up fresh servers and installing things such as lamp, asterisk and my xbmc media center apps (xbmc,sickbeard,couchpotato) and many more things from different repos.

Here I will post what I have done on my server from start to finish with each step involved.

I do this because I remember spending 6-8 hours trying to properly setting up an Asterisk vo-ip box and couldn’t figure out the problem why wouldn’t it sync with the registrar after a reboot?

After goggling like crazy for the whole afternoon I figured out it was just a DNS issue with my ISP. (Cogeco) What I am getting at is I am mainly here to post solutions and or maybe problems that I have came across when running an Ubuntu Server!
